Matisse Paper Cut Outs

Famous French artist Henri Matisse almost single-handedly turned collage into a form of high art. Confined to a wheelchair and unable to paint he made a stunning series of artworks out of cut paper. We will learn about Matisse’s life and art and try to make a piece of art inspired by his work.

-Colored construction paper, white paper (optional)

-Scissors

-Glue stick

-Pencil

- Crayons, markers, colored pencil or paint
