Oscar Droege
Oscar Droege was a master of the woodcut. This is a printing process where a picture is made up of colored layers printed from blocks of carved wood. It almost defies belief that he was able to achieve such detail with this method. Forgotten for most of the century, his work is gaining more recognition all the time.
