Clementine Hunter Zinnias
Clementine Hunter is considered one of the greatest African American Folk artists. Raised on a plantation she started painting scenes of life that surrounded her. Her paintings are wonderful. They are simple and truthful and tell the story of African American life in Louisiana. One of her favorite subjects where zinnia flowers. We will make our own versions using cut paper and any type of coloring medium.
-White paper, construction paper (optional)
-Pencil
-Black or dark marker ( permanent marker is best)
- Crayons, markers, colored pencil or paint
